This more remote park is full of wildlife, especially around the only permanent water source in the area, the Tarangire River. It’s the perfect place for elephant and bird lovers since this park boasts the largest elephant population in north Tanzania and more than 500 bird species. Tarangire is well known for its ancient baobab trees and the habitat is completely different from other parks.

Tarangire River Camp is located 3 km from the main entrance of the Tarangire National Park, overlooking a branch of the Tarangire River itself. Enjoy the great views of the river and endless plains. You overnight in nicely furnished spacious safari tents built on an elevated wooden platform. Each safari tent has an en-suite bathroom and private veranda. The restaurant serves delicious food.

This camp is located in a secluded area of Tarangire National Park, far away from the crowds.
