Tanzania's largest National Park, Ruaha is a wilder and more remote park than the other southern park Selous. The rewards of travelling this far are a wild landscape - hills dotted with baobab trees and rocky escarpments- and superb wildlife. Large herds of elephant and buffalo are a common sighting and lion and leopard are abundant. Ruaha also offers an incredible variety of antelope and rare species such as the African wild dog and the striped hyena.
